To provide for the safe non-emergency transportation of the elderly and chronically ill to medical facilities. To establish, promote, and conduct educational programs that enhance public health and well being.”
Shaler EMS was incorporated in 1992 as a non-profit 501c3 charitable organization. We are governed by a Board of Directors consisting of seven voting members including our medical director and one ex-officio member who is the Chief of Police of Shaler Township.
Shaler EMS operates three ALS (Advanced Life Support) ambulances which are crewed by a combination of paid staff and certified volunteers.

Shaler EMS is involved in many emergency medical alliances including: NEAA (NorthEast Ambulance Alliance), PAA (Pennsylvania Ambulance Association, and AAA (American Ambulance Association).
